Yesterday was a busy day! We discussed more about energy. Then we learned how to build balloon powered cars! The plan is for the students to design their own car and then build it, test it, alter it, test it again....THEN RACE IT! Students can bring supplies from home if they wish, but it is NOT required! We are basically building them out of trash! : ) After science, we worked on plot and learning the structure of a story. They are doing great! Then Mr. Tom came in from Exploration Place and taught us the difference between insects and other "bugs". We learned that to be classified as an insect, it must have 6 legs and 3 body parts. Then they got to build and present their own insect. The turned out awesome!! After lunch, we studied for our math test (which I'm super excited for them to take because I think they will rock it!) To finish the day, we discussed 9/11. We are ready for this first 5 day week! Thank you parents for taking the time to read this!
